Ok… There is this thing called the “TV TAX” here, that everyone is required to pay. It is over 300 dollars per year. WowZeRs. Our tv is friggin ancient, and there is nothing but ‘rubbish’ on it anyway. Why did we have to pay it? To get my name on a bill, to establish proof of my identity and address, and then get (hopefully) a legitimate bank account, blah blah blah. Then, to find out, the bank does not accept a TV Licence for a ‘real’ bank account.
But if I can figure out a way to become a British National and get registered to vote, things will be all gravy.
