flood.
We found out that our house floods this week. Our landlord said he thought he had warned us, but we did not know this because all of our electronics were sitting on the floors. Aparently to keep our house from flooding we have to take the sledge out of the drain every week. hummmm. did NOT know that. Miraclously the flood waters inched around all of our equipment without harm, taking only a pile of clothing and the laundry detergent hostage. wow. we were spared of using our home insurance this time. And, the bathroom that the mushrooms and slugs love had water in it, and now it is really musty. THat bathroom is so strange. The main toilet pipe goes out of the toilet and under the shower and out of the house, leaving this huge gap under the shower that leads the outside world (mainly slugs and spores) into our strange bathroom. I guess that is what happens when a house is built in the 1700’s, and then converted into modern rooms. everything is a little strange about this house, but we like it. I thought it might be haunted for a while, with a ghost that pees in the bathroom upstairs because it smelled awful like 100 year old piss, but some bleach took care of that so there was no ghost.
